Tenderly's repertoir is built around the
different backgrounds of the three players in the group. Tinus'
speciality is in modern jazz, Egbert's speciality is in flamenco and
Dick is specialised in gypsy swing. The material best suited for a
combination of these styles turned out to be the Bossa Nova of Brasil.
This gentle style of Latin Jazz allows for the combination of highly
develloped guitar technique with a strong rhythmic element and lots of
room for improvisation.
Het repertoire van Tenderly is samengesteld rond de zeer verschillende muzikale achtergronden vad de leden van het trio.
Tinus' zijn specialisatie ligt in de moderne jazz, Egbert's
specialisatie is de flamenco muziek en Dick is gespecialiseerd in de
gypsy gwing. De muziek die het best geschikt bleek om deze 3 stijlen in
te combineren is de Braziliaanse Bossa Nova. In deze latin jazz stijl
kunnen hoog ontwikkelde gitaar techniek, sterk ritmische elementen en
improvisatie eenvoudig samensmelten.
