trying to see and hear you playing, I click the video tab and get more forum type stuff ...so now I'm adding to it!...

aha! I guess all that "%3Cobject%20width%3D%22480%22%20height...etc" gobble-de-gook must be the code for a video that I can't see - what is my set-up missing?

Hey tinus how are you. I hate to waste ur time but I have a hard time getting good constructive criticism. Type “Juan huertas harmonica” into youtube there is a video of me playing I want to become the best. I was wondering if u can give me some really good criticism I mean tear me up make me feel like I suck but help me with what u think would up my game. It would mean the world to me. I look up to u as a harmonica player maybe one day we will cross paths by then u will prob be one of the best in the world who knows.

No orthodontic wax serves the same purpose but is a little different than beeswax. Basically it is easier to work with and for some people it is also easier to come by. But both will work fine.
As for the songs; if you play with backingtracks then take a look at www.jazzbooks.com they sell the Aebersold series of playalongs which covers a huge amount of songs from the jazz repertoire.

is orthadontic wax the same as bee's wax? one last question. i have a oppertunity to play for money at a local draft house here in florida. my main problem is finding a way to entertain for at least 3hrs i got away with it yesterday and everone loved it and i brought alot of people from the street into the bar, however im afraid that after a few days i might start sounding the same and i dont want to boar anyone. i mainly play to backing tracks because so far i cant find a band yet. its a small town. what are good songs that can bring people in and not sound the same all the time. i can improve very very good that is my strong point. i only know 3 songs. that is my weak point. i guess what im asking is do you know of a good way to go about setting up some performances that i can learn fairly easy or some kind of techniques that might help with that. thank you so much for writing i always write to ppl and never get a response. true fan for life.

Hey Juan, yes gapping and waxing is enough to do good overblows. the rest has small advantages but isn't neccesary.

i had just found it at joanns fabric store i guess they use it for thread. its like a urinal cake same size an all...lol. i have one question do u think its possible to still have a good overblow technique with just gapping and waxing? or better question..would it save me time learning the other techniques? thanks for your reply.

Thank you for your criptic remark. Jazz is never the easy way. If it does sound easy then thank you for the compliment.

Sounds like jazz would be the easy way when first learning how to play harmonica.
