Thanks for your reply. Anywy I found some experts are telling not to start with 'Silver star' due to probable air leak, so after a lot of effort I found a 'Hohner Golden melody' in C and bought it right away ..

I am having problem to get the 2 nd hole draw note properly .. : (

Strange things happening if I lower my tongue while playing .. But I still doubt it wheather its proper note bending or not .. :p

Anywy .. thanks again .. :)

The Silver star is probably good enough to learn most of the basic techniques.
Personally I really like the Hohner special 20, especially for beginners. I have no idea what key is usually used for middle eastern music.

I was playing guitar for a few years and recently got interested in harmonica specially in 10 hole diatonic. I bought a 'Hohner silver star' just to find that its the cheapest one and nobody should start with it. I live in kolkata, India. I found that no better 10 hole diatonic available in my city. Ahould I bought something better online? (Any suggestion what I should buy) or would I carry on playing this cheap one untill i learn how to play one note at a time ..

Any advice how can I achieve to play one note at time? (I am pucking .. and can almost play single notes most of the time )

At last, Is silver star igood enough to learn bending? And what key sd I use to play melodious middle eastern tunes in minor notes?

Thanks in advance .. :)
